This
TRAINING TOOLKIT has been
developed under the Pilot Project “CSR/SMEs – Promoting Social
Responsibility in Small and Medium Sized Enterprises”, supported by the
European Commission through the “Leonardo da Vinci” Programme.
The goal of this product is to provide help in the organization and
development of training activities focused on CSR, by defining a CSR
training programme in terms of target groups, trainer profile, objectives,
learning contents, programme structure, methods and practical training
activities, didactical/pedagogical resources/materials required, duration,
evaluation, assessment and certification.
The TRAINING TOOLKIT is destined to vocational education training
organisations willing to teach and train about CSR especially in
management areas. It is also destined to the training organisers and
trainers of those vocational education and training organisations. This
document will be mainly used by those end-users for the benefit of the
project target groups – mainly entrepreneurs, SME owners and managers as
well as public decision-makers, consultants, education and training
specialists, academics and students. The main focus of the training
programme, however, is on entrepreneurs, SMEs owners and managers, the
first implied target group.
Nevertheless
we would like to reinforce that different training modules were
pilot-tested with different target groups - entrepreneurs, SMEs owners and
managers; consultants, education and training specialists; academics and
students.
The
partnership is fully aware that this TRAINING
TOOLKIT is not a complete work. It must be seen just as a “step
forward” in the attempt to provide useful training materials in the
field of CSR. We hope that this project’s results help training
providers to better promote and foster CSR practices into the companies’
strategies and decisions, contributing to increasing the knowledge about
the positive impact of CSR on business and society.
Assuming this project as the beginning of a continuous improvement process,
the partnership welcomes all contributions, suggestions and comments that
end-users would like to forward.
